Has anyone dropped the KEYone and damaged the Sim card tray?
I'm so sad. I dropped my phone on the tiled kitchen floor and the Sim card tray dented from the outside. Now I can't stick the pin in the hole to eject the tray. From me messing with the sim tray, it must have dislodged the Sim card so now I can't make calls with my phone or open/shut the tray. I ended up calling BlackBerry support who is emailing me a label so my phone can be mailed to the BlackBerry support center. I will be without my phone for days and they will probably charge me for the repair once they see the dented Sim card tray since physical abuse is not covered by 1 year limited warranty. The fee will be $39 plus the cost of repairs. Plus, because my SD card is in the tray, I can say goodbye to everything on my SD card because it won't be returned to me from the repair center. I paid $550 for the Keyone 3 weeks ago...it is NOT the quality of phone that my Passport Silver was which cost less. I am disappointed it bent so easily. I didn't get the warranty because I figured BB would cover it for 1 year and I will probably upgrade to another phone by the time the Keyone would break. I was very careful with my Keyone and I am sad I accidentally dropped it. My advice to other Keyone users...make sure you have a quality phone case to protect your phone. Do not port it naked. I would have had a phone case on my Keyone when I dropped it, but no stores carry Keyone cases so I had to order the case...from Hong Kong on ebay to Virginia. It's been 2 weeks and haven't gotten the case yet. Anyone else drop their phone without the case?
