I've had play store issues since the OS update to android 8. The app appear in the updates in a timely manner but don't instantly download like they should / used to.

They sometimes eventually update but it can take days. Using wifi or network makes no difference so dont believe this to be data related.

I've tried:

- restarting phone (obviously)
- clearing app cache
- clearing app data
- uninstalling updates
-reinstalling updates
- repeating the above

This sometimes helps in the short term, but nothing seems to be a permanent fix. Bizarrely today when I've tried this, the play protect scan had the date of 1970...! Don't know if this is related or not.

Yeah! I've been facing that issue too! App won't update and doesn't download at all.
