I liked that my V10 was always listening, even when the screen was off, and I could just grab it and say, "OK, Google" and everything would wake up so I could ask it to do something.

As far as I can tell, the K1 isn't always listening. I have to wake it up first, and unlock it. Is that true?

True if you don't set it to. You need to enable trusted voice options to have it work even when locked.

Settings>Google>Search>Voice>"OK Google Detection>Trusted Voice.

I thought Google Now needs your screen to be on before it can listen.
It only works without turning screen off on Pixel and Nexus devices.

It works on my V10.

And there is the option for "Trusted Voice" to unlock the phone. Don't know about waking it up, though.

I suspect the K1 is not always listening. That's not a usual feature.

But the fingerprint scanner is so quick and easy, I'll adapt.

I'm having the same problem. The first time I set up trusted voice, it worked correctly by responding to the voice command while the screen was off. After the first time though, it stopped working. It has not worked at all with the screen off since.

In addition, earlier today, "OK Google" voice prompt stopped working completely, even with the phone turned on and unlocked. I had to restart in order for the functionality to come back.

Any ideas on what the problem with trusted voice could be? I regularly check the setting and it's always on yet never works.
