Why wouldn't you buy them?

Because Class 10 guarantees a transfer speed of lousy 10 MB per second. Same as UHS-Speed Class 1. (The symbol is a "U" with a "1" inside.) Yes, often they're faster than that, but not by much.
What you want is a card with UHS-Speed Class 3 ("U" with a "3" inside) which guarantees at least 30 MB/s.
If you use sd cards in your smartphone the transfer speed doesn't matter anyway unless you use it in your pc. Transfer speed on smartphones are really irrelevant since you won't be moving data back and forth all day.
And since class 10 got pretty cheap its perfect for smartphones and devices like the raspberry pi. (though in some stores here class 10 32gb still costs 20€)

yeah h, it's good to read it because tomorrow could read the best news for all ... Oficial Launch !!!
Until you try to record a 4K video at 30fps… or want to backup the data (photos, videos, etc.) on your SD card. Or you want to copy a few movies to it for watching on a flight.
I don't do backups every day and you won't need copy movies often unless you fly every day. So it's no issue for me

For me also... it's every's decision to put the card into the keyone or use it for other purposes. Don't understand the hint, that this is only a class2 card?!

Once you've used a UHS-Speed-Class 3 card, you'll understand the difference. A Class 10 is so slooooooow in every way compared to the UHS3.
What about apps like OSMand? It is painfully slow on my Classic (not sure what SD card I got in) accessing the maps - or is this due to a slower processor compared to the KeyONE?

It's because Android is just emulated within the BB10 OS.
Could be both. But yes, such apps are where you notice the difference between a slow SD card and a fast one.
I'm curious, if and when next week the dispatch-notification from Media Markt will arrive in our inboxes...

Well this special preorder offer is on MediaMarkt frontpage:

So it really seems to be 4th of May for germany.
Wow, it's totally wrong. Obviously the speed matters. The most important thing is 4K videos. You don't only need faster card to download videos faster to the PC. The most important thing is you would NOT be able to record a 4K video on a slow card. A card has to be fast enough to write such a great load of data a 4K video carries.
I don't record 4k and I think most people also don't do it

And by the way you can record 4k videos to the internal storage and then move it onto your sd

I confirm, that a speedy card is essential for 4k. But anyhow, Media Markt is the first supplier in Germany and on top you get this card for free, so no reason to complain.

I'm not going to order until it is sold by Amazon itself and not a third party...
I'm not sure why they are hesitating to offer it?!
I dunno. I'll wait first too. Maybe today going to Saturn and ask how warranty etc works there and if they have a model out there to test it out
