May I ask when you placed your order? I preordered mine on April 18th and already got, like everybody, a notice it's going to be delayed to KW 19 - no further mails since then.

I can't believe it! I just checked my spam folder and it is sitting right there: Shipping notification to my local store, I should be able to pick-up the phone Saturday or maybe even tomorrow.

I ordered at Saturn - the local Media Markt is at a less convenient location to reach, so I usually try to avoid it and use Saturn instead.

I placed two orders... One at mediamarkt @25/04 and another today early in the morning at saturn.... But only received the information about the delay (MM - KW20, Saturn - KW19)...

Mal kurz auf deutsch: Ich war vorhin beim Saturn, ein bischen nachhorchen. Die Dame war sehr freundlich und etwas verlegen, hat dann sogar noch mal beim Online-Center angerufen, denn für den Laden selbst, ebenso wie bei MediaMarkt, wurde überhaupt kein K1 bestellt. Man kann also vor Ort keins kaufen.
Der Typ am Telefon hat wohl extra nochmal wiederum beim Einkauf nachgefragt, ob man schon ein genaueres Datum als nur KW19 nennen kann: könnense natürlich nicht! Der Einkauf hatte zuletzt heute um 12 Uhr nochmal beim Vorlieferanten nachgefragt und ebenfalls nichts genaueres bekommen. Sobald der Einkauf von Saturn ein Datum bekommt, rechnen die 1-2 Tage drauf und ein fixes Datum ist online zu lesen. Wenn da nur ungefähre Daten stehen, bedeutet das, dass Saturn selbst kein fixes Datum bekommen hat. Also ist auch die KW19 erstmal nur blind geraten.
Ich bin mir auch recht sicher, dass Saturn und MM (beide Metro) einen gemeinsamen Einkauf haben, also die Verfügbarkeit vom Vorlieferanten identisch ist. Bleibt nur die Frage, wer als Erster wieviel vom Kontingent bekommt.
P.S.: Jan-Ole: hau ruhig mal ein kritisches Video raus. Ich denke, dass Crackberry seit dem Sponsoring eher wenig kritische Töne seinem Geldgeber gegenüber anschlägt. Von Kollege Kevin hört man bezüglich Verfügbarkeitschaos nur Schweigen und keine ernste Stellung zu dem Thema. Finde das sehr schade, dass crackberry dadurch eher zu einer heimlichen Werbeplattform wird.

Viedeo ist draußen, jetzt muss es nur noch geteilt werden, damit BBMobile und Crackberry das auch mitkriegen.
Ist mir auch aufgefallen, da man von CB nur noch positive Töne hört und sich darüber irgendwie auch keiner beschwert. Sogar ich werde laut einigen Kommentaren von BB Bezahlt und bin ja echt kritisch! (Sonst hätte ich ja auch 4 K1 auf dem Tisch liegen hehe)

At least I remember the Priv launch was quite chaotical too. Europe, or at least Central Europe had to wait almost two months longer than North America and some other countries to get any shipments. When the first shipments arrived, nobody could really tell which shop would receive any stock first or even when it should arrive at all. Back in the day Media Markt and Saturn were pretty fast again and suddenly had stock out of nowhere - basically the opposite of what we have right now. However it was fairly limited too and quickly sold out. Other shops also received small amounts or didn't get any at all - although they actually had a fixed date.

Passport launch wasn't that much better, if my memory is correct. So the KeyOne pretty much continues the tradition of poor BlackBerry launches here in Germany or DACH. I actually had high hopes this would change under TCL direction, but it obviously did not. Too bad. I also noticed that Crackberry got less and less critical about such things and seems more like an extended advertising machine for BlackBerry (or now TCL), I am actually only visting the CB forums, not the site itself anymore. There are other sources which not only ask critical questions but also outline things which need improvements.

At least I got at least 2 weeks to think about that.
question is if I should cancel the preorder as I chose "pick up" at the store.
at some point in the next weeks/month there should be enough stock (as happened with the priv)

Employees at my local MediaMarkt (Mülheim) just said it's very unlikely that they will get any physical units of the K1 in the store at all. They didn't Order any and will propably also not do so. Most likely only available via the onlineshop.

I pre-ordered mine at Saturn Hamburg City at the end of march. After yesterdays notification about a delay without a certain shipping-date I am now glad to report that at least Saturn must have gotten a few units - received notice last night that my order has been dispatched and will arrive saturday. Hooray.
