I'm starting this thread because MediaMarkt today started to take preorders of the KEYone.

BLACKBERRY KEYone 32 GB Silber Smartphone - Media Markt

I asked them on Twitter what is going on with the "12 weeks" but they said it's just a placeholder.

Price is 599€ as we already expected.

I am waiting for it too, the Media Markt preorder raises hopes the new device might be launched early of April rather than late. Keeping fingers crossed.

So hope they'll have a model to try out here in Frankfurt - Saturn or Media Markt. When the Classic came out it was right away available in Saturn...got it like in the first days. So KEYone...waiting to try you out ;-)

They changed the date on the Media Markt Website now from 12 weeks to MAY, 4th.

I hope this is still a placeholder... otherwise this is very late.

@robertillo: Perhaps you switch over to a S8-forum to post your advertisement for this device. The Keyone wouldn't be a device for you - so, why claiming, that this is delayed ?! All others know, that in the beginning of December we even didn't know if it is gonna released, now we are directly in front of release. I'm sure you will be happy with your S8 and you could also raise the pre-order for S9 (April 18), S10 (April 19) and S11 (April 20) - if you like this update-cylce feel free to enjoy this for your own.

My devices until now: BB 9780, BB 9900, BlackBerry Q10, BlackBerry Z10, Passport, Black classic, blue cobalt classic and Dtk50. Of sure my next device will be keyone, not S8, it was a way o speak. Not me, but maybe a lot of people will buy other devices as S8 or similar because this delay, so, less money for BB, and finally not good for the business and at the end not good for all of us (people with BB).

Maybe release date in Germany will be pushed back, remember the Priv? It got released almost two month after US/Canada/UK release around here in central Europe.

May 4th seems about right - in Switzerland it is coming out May 10th.

Also May 4th is quite fast, considering it only launches in April!

I'm sure, if you would contact these resellers, that they can't confirm a release-date and MAY is more a guesstimate or hopefully a worst-case scenario.
