it seems Goggle is taking over my Keyone. I noticed that I have a new app called Goggle Drive that looks like Goggle Maps. Uses a lot of storage. I do not know how I suddenly acquired this on my Keyone, just appeared.

What is the difference? Do I need both?

General Question is everything Goggle of this phone except the few remaining BB apps.

Google Maps is for navigation.

Google Drive is for storing or backing up files and things to the cloud.

PS: The K1 is using the Google Android OS. Your device is now Google-based.
It even uses the same camera sensor as the first Google Pixel phone. The only thing Blackberry on the phone is the various apps, such as: Hub, Power Center, and DTek. The only positive the K1 has over any other Android device is the fairly frequent security updates (almost monthly), and the physical keyboard.

The app called "Driving" is just a shortcut to the driving mode in Google Maps. It is not an actual app. This mode is accessible through the Google Maps app. The shortcut is not required to use this mode.

Driving mode is an easier-to-use Google Maps mode that can be used while driving. If you use Android Auto, this is the view from Google Maps you see.

PS: You can delete shortcuts from you desktop if you do not want them by long-pressing on the shortcut and dragging it to the little garbage can icon.

It's a shortcut for Driving Mode in Google Maps offered when you use update or install Maps, you can choose to not add it when asked or add it and delete it later. One time thing, will not reappear unless Maps is reinstalled or the device is wiped and restored.
