    ok I checked my build date as described above and got the row of ***** which apparently indicates I have a refurbished phone. Yet I bought it within 1 month of the KeyOne release date. how can I have a refurb unit when the phones were only 1 month old?

    I could be wrong, I seem to remember that the build date no longer showed after the Oreo Upgrade from Nougat.

    Yeah I'm not sold on the "refurbished" part one iota. Just checked my Motion (bought day of launch through Telus) and it too only shows asterisks?
