I had an update a while ago. I just noticed my fingerprint sensor won't work, and I can't find anything in the settings.

I had an update a while ago. I just noticed my fingerprint sensor won't work, and I can't find anything in the settings.

What was your updated? Was is for oreo? Or the latest security patch? I've made a post about this and somehow it's one of the sickness oreo has on our keyone. Try the following:

1. 32 sec reboot - sometime it works but the fingerprints tends to "tire" out and will not function properly, stating your fingerprint moved to fast or fingerprint hardware is missing.

2. Drain out the battery - this is works like the one above.

3. Reformat or reboot now this will also work as above.

To summarize it's a hit or miss to retrieve the fingerprint. Also in the latest security patch for November it seems fixed it for me.

Tried the 32 second reboot. didn't work.

What would cause it to dissappear from the setting menu? This phone is really stressing me out lately.
