fingerprint sensor disappeared

So, phone is back from service center...

They managed to change almost everything except battery. According to service protocol: motherboard, keyboard, earphone, covers, vibration motor.
I have new IMEI now, on the back cover is date 29.12.2018, so newer than mine from april 2018.

*#2886# test doesn´t work even when fingerprint is ok...

Keyboard is QWERTZ as it was before, but when writing on it, it is QWERTY. I cant remember how it was before, but I like QWERTZ more and I am unable to change it back... Any ideas? They flashed the phone with latest firmware (ABT975 - the same version as before), but now it starts in czech language, before it was in german. Maybe here is the problem with qwerty/qwertz?


Edit: they changed PRD from PRD-63117-036 to PRD-63117-039 :-/

Well after some negotiating with service centre, phone went back for repair, where the mainboard was finally changed to proper one.

It took about 2 another weeks, but was worth it :-)

The -036 would be 3/32 AT&T carrier locked model that unless you’re on AT&T you don’t want. The -039 would be 4/64 NA factory unlocked model that’s preferred by many users. Exactly what PRD model showed up in the end?

Not very good. When my screen popped, I did advanced replacement and got what appeared to be a brand new phone. The turn-around was tight, and the whole thing effortless (aside days setting everything up again)...

Amazon is best approached with a phone call... it's hurried in the customer service tab. They bend over backwards to make it right. That said, I avoid 3rd party sellers on Amazon. I usually can find the same seller on eBay and their customer service is air tight.

You are wrong, PRD-63117-036 is unlocked KeyOne BE for Germany (qwertz) and PRD-63117-039 is unlocked KeyOne BE for rest of Europe (qwerty).

Sorry about that. I meant PRD-63116-036 is the AT&T model PRD-63116-039 is the BE model. Carry on you Europeans that I’ve thoroughly confused now....

After few minutes with amazon.de support, they offered me full refund (about 453,- Euro), so I have ordered Key2 (Black 6GB/128GB Single SIM) in black friday/cyber monday offer for 492,- Euro with shipping. That means new Key2 for 39,- Euro - not so bad :)

PS: I was considering Unihertz Titan and F(x)tec Pro1 but any of them seems to be ok for me. Both too large, Titan too heavy, Pro1 too wide keyboard and too expensive (742,- euro)... I hope F(x)tec will make smaller phone with hw keyboard till Key2 will die completely.

Yep, me too. Stopped working yesterday. Very frustrating. How did we cope before fingerprint sensors??!!
