Recently I posted that the fingerprint sensor just stopped. I tried holding power for 32 seconds and nothing.
I went into security -- and no fingerprint option exists.
What is going on? Anyone have an idea?

It appears that the *#2886# no longer works for testing the fingerprint. Just tried it on both my Keyone's but both had no reactions to the testing. The fingerprint sensors however both do actually work. I'd suggest turning off security and then do a 32 second reboot and add back the security password and see if the option for the fingerprint reappears.

Time for a new keyboard or use another security log in. New keyboards run at about $20. Takes less than an a half hour. No need for a complete teardown. I'll post a how to if you decide to opt for replacement.

Wow so this is a thing!! This happened to my Key2LE after 4 months of date of purchase. The sad thing is that I would switch between phones so I didn't even use it a lot for this happen the good thing was that bbmo replaced it under warranty. I'm using my Key2 now and the LE I keep at home hope this doesn't happen to my Key2. As of now it looks like In going to be using this phone for a while. It's been a long time since I just use one phone for more and 2months and I'm really liking the experience I'm getting this time around. I want to commit to one phone for at least a year ever since BB10 came out I haven't had one phone for more than six months. I went through all of them sometimes even the same one in multiple colors.

    Mine,
    Try 32 second reboot.
    Try to factory reset.

    Not working at all.

If still under warranty take advantage of that. If not replace the keyboard. Cheap and easy.

Mine fingerprint stopped working 2 days ago.

regular restart, on/off - no help
    32sec reset - no help
    removing fingerpints - no help
    factory reset - no help

According to *#2886# fingerprint LED is working, but fingerprintenroll and fingerprint are not.

Phone still in warranty and now it is travelling to service center.

    Exactly.

Also, cheap replacement keyboards for the KEYone can be found on eBay.

However for the LE, they are harder to come by.

Personally, if nothing else works, I'd either live with it or sell it and grab another one used that doesn't have that problem.

Used Slate LE's can go for as cheap as $250-280 or so on Swappa or eBay.

Was Amazon the actual seller or was it third party listing through Amazon since Amazon is an official seller in many regions?

well it was a third party via Amazon. So of course no warranty support. the seller should have said "non-us" phone. I still feel BlackBerry should have scored support. whatever. I know have to use a defective phone until something else breaks.

No OEM provides warranty support for used merchandise that I’m aware of. When you buy from non-official third party, you’re buying, essentially, used item from perspective of established warranty legal precedent in most countries. To remain competitive, most OEMs follow the minimally required standard. You should, and I strongly encourage, file a claim through Amazon for misrepresentation if the device wasn’t properly disclosed. That’s your recourse since Amazon is pretty good at protecting buyers rights over any sellers rights according to listing requirements. BlackBerry and Blue Mobile didn’t benefit from your purchase so they owe you nothing. Amazon, third party seller and payment company used, all benefited from your purchase. File claims through or against them.
