Hi guys I've reluctantly jumped ship and ordered a Keyone black as my Passport is starting to suck a little.

Could you please give me some advice to ease my traumatic transition to Android as I've never used the platform before.

BB10 will always have a special place in my heart.

Myself having come from BBOS and BB10 I had no trouble adjusting to Android. sure some things are nicer on BB10 but give it a couple of weeks and then pick up your Passport and it will feel foreign to you.

I use the BlackBerry Hub on my KEYone and while not quite as good (especially on notification choices for individual contacts) and overall it suits my needs.

Using the BlackBerry Launcher and that incorporates all the keyboard shortcuts whereas others will not necessarily allow to assign keyboard shortcuts.

You will need a File Manager App and I suggest Solid Explorer however the Asus File Manager works well but with not as many options.

Enjoy this beautiful phone most of all and the fact that you will no longer be facing the app gap,

just remember that with android you will need to have an app for many things. if you want customisation of your text tones etc you need to find an app that helps you do what you need. that's one example. just don't expect some things to just work. apps are a must with android

Best advice is to not keep trying to make Android look like bb10. You're better just to let that go and embrace change.

I agree with Conite, made the switch from Z10 to K1 in May and never looked back. Only thing I do miss is the Travel app Onemate but what read was by the end of this month, that app dies anyway because it's not being supported. Embrace Android move forward.

My suggestions are to move all the unneeded apps to your second screen. Keep your most used apps on your main screen. I put a BlackBerry wallpaper on the KEYone to make it look good. And I put my old ringtone on the phone, so it sounds like my Passport when I receive a call too!!

I put all of my email and social media accounts in the Hub, so I don't need any of those icons on my main screen.

I spent a lot of time, like maybe five hours, practicing and learning how to use the Circle and Square keys (center and left). Those really help me to open my recent apps, and quickly get back to my home screen. I rarely ever look at the second screen!!

Hope these short tips help you.
