    When I open files from Folders app and hit the square key to switch to another app, when I come back to Files app, I am brought back to its main window (or root) and have to go through all my folders again to reopen the file I had opened.

    Can I configure something to fix this or should I use another app?

    Use a real file manager like Solid Explorer.
