I have both the KEYᵒⁿᵉ and the DTEK60. The performance difference is negligible.
Agreed! I as well have both.

I figured as much, even more reason the difference between the variants of keyone is not a big deal

Seems ridiculous that TCL doesn't use it's "not really on-time manufacturing" processes to take orders for whatever model/color combo and just start pre-selling batches. It appears the product "runs" are small amounts as it is.

I periodically take a look at my RAM usage, largely for curiousity since people have raised this criticism about the Keyone. It rarely goes over 2.0gb for me, so I don't see how adding another 1gb would be much benefit.

I think it is very smart, no one wants to be stuck with phones. By doing it this way the price stays high and dumping does not happen.

I wouldn't consider anyone who has a KEYone to be "stuck" with it. It's a great device. Those who buy devices early, we get the advantage of having it early but face the risk of a different version coming out.

However, as others here have said may not be able to import one anyone and the extra gb are necessary with no SD slot.

You lied. The limited edition black keyone DOES support an SD card.

Think it's an either or.... SD Card or 2nd SIM. Even then there are "ways" to have both...

May I give you a friendly word of advice. This kind of thinking is what keeps Apple in the green. Do you like your phone? Does it not do what you want? Every year a new car or toy comes out, with the next great shiny tin foil. Who cares is it a nice phone...sure but I would rather have the 549 in my pocket then theirs.......just saying.
I know and it's really about priorities!!! Sure I'll get one when it comes out!!!heheh!

I THINK that there is a second slot that can be used by either a SECOND SIM CARD or an sd-card.

Yes that is true. It's a hybrid second slot. Either a second sim or an SD card
