I am from Austria and received the 8.1 two days ago and i am very happy with it. Battery life seems better then before and the performance is much moore smoother. After the download and installing i had one ore two bugs but after a reset there are no Problems at all. So there is no reason for me in the moment to buy a Key2.

Same boat here, before it used to take a couple of seconds to react (sometimes, not always) but since the upgrade performance has definitely improved, as I'm writing this it's 3 pm, my battery is on 64% and I'm on the road since about 5 am!
So far I'm very satisfied with the upgrade, kudos blackberry, you made us wait long but afaics you have delivered a solid update, now let's wait and see what time brings.

I'm telling you that Oreo will not "fix" anything - only provide iterative improvement.

You need to do a clean install of your OS (or factory reset).

I guess European are no worthy of Blackberry customer services that other continents like Asia and America.

Hopefully I won't be long before at one of his competitors come out with a keyboard and safe phone and bye bye BlackBerry
