My contact list seems to have 2 or 3 copies of every contact. I've tried merging them 4/5 times in the past but it always comes undone.

Is there a way around this?

Do you have contacts saved locally as well as to a google account by chance? Local contacts always seem to cause this issue is what I find.

Hi. Go into your contacts settings and untick the accounts you do not want to see ie Google, Hotmail, BBM etc. Hope this is helpful
