Can you add to this? What's happening when you update? Screenshot would be handy as well.
I turned off "Data Saver" and it installed ONE app. Then after 7 minutes, it started updating each app. So, Data Saver doesn't allow apps to update?
It basically turns off automatic synching for numerous apps and accounts. To bypass this you'd have to open the app you want to update or sync from.
Or just turn off Data Saver. Battery saver could cause this issue as well.
Just an update: data saver and battery optimization are both off. Updates are still very sporadic. Nothing updates/downloads immediately. It is 10+ minutes before anything happens- every single time.
No one else has this problem?
30+ minutes and nothing.....
No issues with my AT$T KEYone. Do you have all the updates happening at once? have you tried turning off auto update in settings and doing them one at a time?
Can't help you. No issues whatsoever.
Auto update is off. The only way I can get any updates to start is to reboot. Not the end of the world, but slightly inconvenient.
Not sure what's going on. At this point i would try a wipe and start from scratch.
Oreo update seems to have fixed this.
I have been having this issue before Oreo update. And i still have it today after Oreo updated.
I had the same problem couple of months ago and I had to reinstall Google play store app. So uninstall all updates, revert to factory version and then update this app itself.
I was having trouble as well and followed Conite's advice.
Open Settings / Users & accounts and delete the primary Google account. After re-adding it back everything started working normally again.
This lovely bug is back again..... takes several days/weeks to update apps- even though I'm on Wi-Fi constantly....
I believe this is an Android/Google Play issue. Had a conversation on this prior and many Galaxy owners were facing similar update slow downs.
I've noticed that updates for me appear to be slow at first, but it may be an optical illusion of sorts.
Usually, watching the download status before installing phase moves at standard rate. Now watching download rate, it just spins before downloading seems to begin. Once downloading begins, it flies through, as if already mostly to completely downloaded. I believe their is something wrong in the visual graphics coding or at least how it's synced up.
It's like watching tv shows where the characters talking and the actual speaking aren't synced up.
First thing I'd try is to force stop the play store and clear the cache for it and also Google play services
