odd having headset doesn't correct this issue. if a mic is your problem, a headset would deactivate on-board mics and use the head set mic. I have NO ISSUES with my K1. too bad people will see the negative posts from a few and not the many who have issue free devices.

Agreed! Mine is the first batch coming out of Rogers Wireless since launch day and I am having zero issues and my K1 is functioning awesome!
Download BBVE to test and make sure its not a hardware issue. If not then just wipe it and start fresh.
First off, many do not know that BBVE is not preloaded or available in Google Play for the KEYᵒⁿᵉ. Folks will need to go to apkmirror.com and download a version. That's how I got it and tested my device. Hope that helps.
I just got my BB Keyone Black Edition in Dubai (4gb RAM, 64gb ROM...no dual sim :-( ) anyways...I opened it up today...connected my Jabra Stealth bluetooth headset and I sounded like a robot to all my friends....5 of them exactly. Switched back to my Note 5, and I sounded perfect again, using the same bluetooth headset. Then I decided to use the phone without bluetooth...people kept telling me my voice cuts in and out. A friend of mine actually recorded the call and played it back to me....horrible! Talked to the store that sold me the device and they told me bring it back and let's see what the problem is. Keep you guys posted.
I have had the exact problem since last week when I received a replacement for the screenlift problem! I ran the BBVE app and the secondary mic is not working.
