The phone is nice, it is just to large. Something along the size of the Classic would be great.

They should do an upscale-high end with edge display, a mid tier, and a classic sized.

They could reduce the height a little by doing away with the capacitative row and incorporating them on the screen. But that's about it.
Anything less than that will make the screen too small.

You can't change the width, but you could take about 3/8" off the top by going to the minimum allowed 4:3 aspect ratio. Although that's not very Android friendly.
I disagree. I think the size is perfect especially how larger devices are trending today. The KEYone is already small compared to other popular devices.
This phone could easily be made smaller and thinner, with better tech. Minimize the bezels, passport style pkb, and a normal sized battery for an already energy sipping cpu, for starters. Of course, the solid feel is part of what makes it a BlackBerry.
No. I'd like to see a larger KEYone, not smaller!!
Agreed ..... I want an even larger screen. I miss my Passport.
They DID have smaller great keyboards - 9900 and the 9780. Or even the Q10s keyboard was great too. So they could make a smaller device with the same aspect ratio as the k1.
Waiting for K1 rev.1
The Bold 9900 is 3/16" narrower than the KEYᵒⁿᵉ. Something for sure, but not much.
The real difference is the height. The old Bold was the 3:4 ratio (wider than tall), and the minimum Android spec is the opposite (4:3 - taller than wide). The KEYᵒⁿᵉ is, of course, 3:2, and still has some minor issues with some poorly coded apps like Instagram and Snapchat due to the squat screen.
keyone that fits in my suit's breast pocket is all I ask for (I randomly put it in my pant pocket, inside suit pocket, and in breast pocket)
I totally agree! something to fit into the pocket without sticking out......back to the traditional B'berrys we all loved!!
I prefer one with bigger keyboard.....

I agree with you, the KeyOne is too small, I would like it a tad bigger, can't read the too small of a font on the small display, the keyboard is a bit too small too.

This. I like the reassuring feel and appearance of having capacitive buttons on the device, but they aren't a toolbelt adding extra functionality and wouldn't be sorely missed.
The KEYone in its current format is roughly as small as it could be already for an Android QWERTY device, with the exception of a Torch-style slider device. I wouldn't build something as unwieldy as the Priv again, and would need to be convinced about the former, as much as I loved the 9800.
All that aside, I definitely think a much smaller all-touch device would be sensible in a Classic-sized body. Beyond the iPhone SE and Sony's Xperia XZ1 Compact, there is little on the market in terms of a sound compact phone.
I don't mind the extra row for the Android buttons but making them capacitative is just stupid. Makes no sense and even comes in way of flicking while typing.
Had it been physical buttons, it would have actually added functionality.

Like hell it's too small! LOL different strokes :D
I'm using a KEYone coming from a Classic and one of the things I really do miss about the Classic is its form factor. The difference between the two devices though, really, is just a few centimetres in height. So really, it's not a huge difference between the two. But still, I would also go for a KEYone of slightly smaller dimensions.
Disagree. Bring something that's the Passport's width, even taller with a more typical aspect ratio and a slider pkb that is a larger version of the KeyOne's
.
Liitle bigger than the classic
If you'd put the display horizontally, it would look like the left one. They could increase the ratio to 4:3 (instead of the 3:2), then it would look a bit better (right one).

A big problem would be apps that are not made for horizontal orientation. Also you'd probably need a magnifying glass to read smaller texts on the screen.
Definitely make it shorter; look how well the Passport works for web viewing, documents and eBooks.
nope
I for one would love to see a model the same size as the Bold 9900 series only running Android. I would even use the same reliable chassis and keyboard and just update the electronics. I have always felt the bold had the forum factor of any Blackberry device.
I am absolutely blown away by others saying the phone is too small. Has no one ever used a 9900? Gosh, that was the perfect size: throw it in your pocket and it disappeared, toss it around easily without feeling it's going to fall out of your hand, single handedly reach everywhere on the entire screen, and it never heated the entire side of your face when you're on the phone for extended periods. Everything on that phone was accessible with limited movement.
I would rather press the space button a few times while reading something rather than reaching and adjusting the phone in my hand constantly. I always feel uncomfortable and inefficient always moving my hand and the phone doing simple tasks. Not to mention the huge awkward lump it creates when you put it in your pocket.
I don't mind having buttons, if they give me access to everything on my phone (ie a trackpad, menus) and if they're more tactile and not those crappy capacitive type. I also wouldn't mind a slightly larger screen if the software was optimized for it. I can't stand the constant reaching up to access different options/pages/search bars that Android forces you to do.
Those of you that prefer a larger screen: Why? Doesn't it feel clumsy? Don't you feel like you're reaching around too much to navigate? What do you do that requires such a big screen?
