Next to the Passport the KeyOne is my favorite BB but every few days the phone is almost at a standstill, lagging and I have to restart to get it running @ 100% again. Is this common for the phone? Thanks!

In theory you shouldn’t have to restart a device. But I never owned an Android phone.

BB10 devices needed a « reboot » once every month or so. My iPhone can go for months without a reboot.

I think if you’re having issues, try to identify the app that is causing the problems... and just delete it.

No not common at all. Maybe try to clear you cache and see if that helps. Settings, storage and USB, cached data.

I have the Black edition & am starting to have issues with the fingerprint sensor.
Not sure what the issue is, but it is getting a bit frustrating.
I have to use tap to wake just to have the screen turn on.

It would be good practice to restart your phone from time to time - similar to a pc, if you leave it on standby/resume for the longest - a few apps starts to give you issues - a restart is the very 1st and simplest way to resolve issues

I will restart my device once a week. I'm between many cities and I like a weekly refresh to clear tower information. The KEYᵒⁿᵉ restarts so quickly I will usually do it before I pop in the shower and good to go.

Clear your cache whenever it's >=1GB, then restart.

I restart once a week or so when lag starts to become an issue, just as I would on my PC. Definitely isn't the same as QNX where you only had to reboot for an update.

All the BlackBerrys I've ever had I've switched off (almost) every night when I go to bed and don't need them switched on any more. Time to time for newly downloaded apps or OS I've restarted the devices. On the whole I've had a lag-free life with all those devices. If there were any lags they have normally been due to network connections. So I would say what you are experiencing is not normal.

I generally restart every week, sometimes two. Not because it needs it, but I just know how bloated android can get so just a maintenance strategy.

I don't use the KEYone any differently than the Z30 or Q10... I would restart only if there's trouble connecting with Wi-Fi Calling. No lag encountered.

When I read these post, I find it funny how people “accept” that you have to reboot regularly. Phones are not designed to be rebooted regularly... just by accepting that, you’re accepting bad coding. You’re saying to developers that they don’t have to fix their OS or Apps.

Well, that may be what you are telling developers but it is also practical since the developers are not always keen on fixing their poor coding.

I very rarely have to reboot. Just close out apps periodically just as you would on a PC. Simple.
