So after all this time of thinking I had a PRD-63116-001 (Black Unlocked USA) turns out I have a PRD-63116-039 (Black Unlocked Canada?). Which is tremendously weird because the device was purchased in the US from Amazon US... To be totally clear about this: it was Sold by and Shipped by Amazon and not sold by a third party vendor on Amazon. I'm wondering how many of this PRD were sold by Amazon in the US and whether what's happening here is that that PRD was also used to indicate the distributor was Amazon. I've used the device on both AT&T and T-Mobile so far.

Question is: are there any other tangible differences between 001 and 039?

If I remember correctly 63116-001 means unlocked silver (3 GB RAM/3 GB storage), not unlocked black (4 GB RAM/64 GB storage). Other than that they're the same as any other BBB100-1.

I think 001 is unlocked black according to the tclota site but I guess I didn’t realize the first few entries are all the carrier 3GB/3GB models with the first being the unlocked version of that phone. I am assuming then that 039 is the North American unlocked Black (4/64) and not just “Canada” as the tclota site indicates.

All of the KEYone/Motion info for that site is crowdsourced (i.e. subject to error), but it's still 63116-001 for silver.
