The early KEYᵒⁿᵉ had a battery that was held down by a strong adhesive which proved to be very difficult to remove from the chassis. The latest have changed to the magic tab to simply pull on the tab and the battery comes out. For the benefit of anyone needing to pull the battery out of an old KEYᵒⁿᵉ I've included a pic of the tool you'll need (8" rigid plastic spatula blade width about 1 1/4 "). Comes out nicely with some patience!
