    When I try to dial a number using the pkb, it automatically gets deleted. Its working properly when I use the onscreen keyboard but not so when I use pkb.

    There was another similar thread yesterday. I think the suggestion was that a key entry might be interpreted as a swipe, erasing the prior digits. I just awoke but there was a suggestion, I think, to keep a finger on the space bar or something similar.

    That's a bug with the stock dialer.. I've used the official pixel dialer from APKMirror since day one (because I love the swipe up to answer) and it doesn't have this bug. You need to download the 7.0 non-nexus version for it to work.

    I have been having the same problem and just downloaded the True Phone Dialer from Hamster Beat, which seems to work much better.
