With the discounted prices of picking up the “official” Verizon KEYone. Can anyone chime in on what their experience is with the device from a security patch delivery schedule?
I currently own the GSM unlocked K1.

@FF22
There is an official?
I placed quotes around official..it’s the Verizon unlocked variant.
You're coming at an interesting time. we *may see more regular patches come out as part of Google Project Treble.
or we may not.
At this time, history is not necessarily a good predictor. E.g., nearly everyone basically got AAY819 one random day a few weeks ago.
Huh, what.... waking from slumber! (just kidding, I don't nap and haven't since I was 6 months old - a long, well, very long, time ago)
Verizon has generally made the month deadline but sometimes slipped a bit. We are current at the moment. Although, no one knows for sure if Verizon is or is not in the update loop and the variant just needs more prep time to release.
See post above!
Oh, and I generally place quotes around "Verizon" since they never sold the model!
More current than the moto z play droid then.
Pretty much the same number of patches as the rest.
So far the KeyOne is nothing like the Priv where Verizon left us hanging 3 or 4 months behind including the complete OS update. Verizon kept telling the FCC that BB had not released security patches which was total BS!
So can anyone who has a VZW variant of the K1 chime in and give some thoughts on if they think it’s worth it still?
I’d get it for $299 after purchase, activation through Best Buy and using some reward $ I have accumulated with them.
Most are hardcore BlackBerry fans... or they wouldn't have bought it. If you like using a PKB, it's should be worth it.
But it is funny how many now acknowledge KEYone shortcoming that the expect that KEYtwo will fix.
