    may be late to the game.. hopefully some may find this useful since i hate having to reach to top of keyone.

    new tab type chrome://flags
    find Chrome Home feature
    Enable
    restart

    wala! so much better.

    You can also swipe up from the new url bar on bottom and it will give your recent history..

    just installed it this morning and i havent noticed anything glitchy about it.

    what have you noticed or can you not reproduce it since its intermittent ?

    Yeah, that's what I've been told by several people. But I haven't run into that myself yet.

    actually,, i am now noticing it a little bit of jumpiness but it dont bother me none. its just not as smooth as it should be but it does work.

    Swiping down, if you don't hit the capacitive keys, also opens up your open tabs.

    I use Chrome Dev. Has always been a step or two ahead with bottom navigation bar compatibility. Haven't had a problem in a while.

    You can also engage reader mode in flag settings. Set it to "always".

    The main glitch for me is that I'll have to use Chrome... I hope Firefox will have an option to move the url to the bottom. Already emailed them. Or maybe Opera?

    I ended up buying Keyboard Browser and really love it. Minus having ad block, it is a great simple browser. Can't wait to see how far the dev takes it with continued enhancements.

    There is a problem when u change the chrome URL address bar to the bottom, you can't open any website in incognito mode. Whenever you try to open a website in incognito mode, the chrome accesses it with a normal mode.

    Keyboard browser is where it's AT. With Keyboard Browser, I barely need to even lift a thumb from my Keyboard. I have Chrome disabled.

    I wonder why that shortcut exists. The only other alt shortcut I can find is alt+e (menu).

    I had the same problem after last update to chrome. I looked at the reviews in Google Play Store and noticed lots of people had the url bar at the bottom option disabled also. I'm hoping Google allows us to put the url bar at bottom again ASAP. I have gone back to Keyboard browser until Google fixes it.

    It's been gone for a while.

    They are switching over to something called Duplex mode, which isn't fully implemented yet.

    I just went to settings > apps > chrome > uninstall updates to get the chrome url at the bottom..

    Sure, but you're taking a security risk running an ancient version of Chrome. Not to mention missing features.
