Clear the app data and cache.
Chrome is very heavy on resources. If you can, try downloading Samsung's Web Browser from Google Play, along with AdBlock Fast, best combination! Or Opera Mini, which is not so 'mini' anymore, and also allows Ad Blocking. :)
I disabled Chrome and it works great. I prefer Firefox anyway and don't miss chrome at all
Thank you for your replies but I get the same problem when using the google search bar at the top on the main screen. I tried clearing the cache but it hasn't worked.
Any other suggestions? I would prefer not to download a new app.
You could try a factory reset. Not the most convenient approach to a solution but it does solve many ills.
Thank you for your reply. I have factory reset 3 times. Is no one else having this issue?!
I haven't had any issues with Chrome or Google Search on my KEYᵒⁿᵉ. You might want to try Keyboard Browser. I switch between that and Chrome. I'm just not sure which one I like the best, so it's a tie.
Really. Do you keep chrome or google search windows open?
If you are replying to my post I never wrote I keep the two browsers open. I do have the Google search bar on my home screen but I have now configured my KEYᵒⁿᵉ PKB to go to Google Search when I start typing like it did on my Passport.
If you weren't replying to my post then I suggest you quote the post you are too avoid any confusion.
Sorry. Appreciate that. I was asking you if you keep multiple windows google or Chrome search open. I do.
No problem. I just prefer to start typing to go directly into search. I was spoiled with the way my Passport worked. Now I might remove the Google search bar from my home screen.
Thank you. Based on what you have told me, my solution may be to always close my google or Chrome browsers.
