Yes, but I have an old pair of headphones that I cut off the ear parts and use my Classic like a transistor radio. As long at the headphones are plugged in I can play it loudly in the garden sitting way from me while I weed lol.

If this device comes to Verizon the FM radio will likely be disabled with no work-around except for a soft ware update from Verizon.

What makes you say that? I have Verizon, FM radio worked with the Q10 and works with the Classic.
