So the last several days (on att) the att is only intermittently showing in the upper left status bar. Kind of comes and goes. Still have solid bars on the signal and it doesn't seems to affect usage. Just strange.
Anyone else see that with the carrier logo?
I wish the carrier logo wasn't there. Otherwise, not that I've noticed.
That hasn't happened with my phone. I have at&t as well. When does the carrier logo show?
Randomly and intermittently. After a couple of reboots seems to stay now. Android puzzles me sometimes.

If you have a persistent notification (one that only appears when you swipe down to reveal your notifications), the carrier name goes away.

Yeah, and my first (alphabetical) pn is my alarm clock and replaces my carrier's logo.
Same here with Rogers. was there all the time initially but now only briefly in certain situations.
Is there a way to remove the carrier name from the notification bar all together?
I have never seen Virgin in my notification bar--just LTE.
the google app usually has a notification for my weather, my travel time to work, or whatever else so my T-Mobile USA name in the upper left is usually gone.
if i swipe it away, the carrier name re-appears
The behavior actually makes some sense. You don't want the carrier to waste too much space in the motifications area if there's other notifications
