I have an AT&T keyone I'm using on tmobile I checked my build number and it's from 2017 but when I check for updates it says software up to date.. Clearly it's not.. I did a quick search and learned AT&T won't do Ota updates if you're not on their network.. Anyone know of a work around? Other than using someone else's sim card (no one in my town uses AT&T)..

Just pop in a working AT&T SIM, and you'll get the update.

I know you said no one is around, but that's your only option.

OK thanks I guess that's what I'll have to do do you think att prepaid would do it so I don't have to get a plan I'll just get the prepaid sim and activate it if that'll work

Hard to say. I've actually heard some people having success with a SIM card that wasn't even activated.

Nope.

AT&T uses its own update infrastructure, and requires a custom build.

the only problem I've had with my phone is the native phone app won't open sometimes and sometimes when it's happening the mic doesn't work I'm thinking if I could update my phone it might fix that

No, but the mobile upgrade tool can wipe and load ABA075 (the May 2018 patch).

Yes, but it will wipe your device.

Problem is, you have no recourse if it messes up, as no autoloaders are available.

AT&T models can't use universal autoloaders.

figures.. but the upgrade tool will work im assuming.. im charging my phone right now before I attempt the other tool ive already got it backed up on my sd card so im good to go to give the upgrade tool a shot

Ok. But like I said, if it screws up, you have no recourse apart from sending your device back for repair.
