Not sure if this was asked before and I know you can set any key to open an App like Google Maps but can you set a key to start the Navigation to a Home or work address with one key press?

Or can you only open your Maps App and still have to search an address?

I don't think you can do that but the Google map App allows you to create a home screen shortcut to any location you want.

Edit: I was wrong. You can set a destination as a shortcut key. Click on the key (short or long press depending which one you want to use). Then click on all shortcuts. Scroll down to the bottom under "other" and there is a "directions" shortcut. Click on it and set it up.
