US and Canada all use the same bands with the exception of the obvious Sprint and Verizon variants. You'll be able to import a Black Edition from Canada for use in the US no problem unless you are on Sprint or Verizon. Same goes for the silver version as well, the Black Edition is literally just a paint job as far as the supported bands are concerned.

You should, however, avoid importing one from any other region other than Canada. It might work, for the most part, but the potential to run into issues is there depending on your carrier/where you live:
