I will probably get the K1 but am waiting for the unlocked 4GB model to import into the USA.

Will there be any difference in the cell service for a Canadian market phone in the USA/NE?

Also, anyone know when they'll go on sale?

    Thanks.

I hope it has the same radio bands, because I'm planning on importing it as well.
I tried waiting out for the Original KeyOne, but Passport just wasn't holding up for me. Bought a OnePlus in the meantime.
I'd hate to wait it out again only to find out BBM is following in BlackBerry's poor structure.

US and Canada all use the same bands with the exception of the obvious Sprint and Verizon variants. You'll be able to import a Black Edition from Canada for use in the US no problem unless you are on Sprint or Verizon. Same goes for the silver version as well, the Black Edition is literally just a paint job as far as the supported bands are concerned.

    4G: FDD-LTE B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/13/17/19/20/28/29/30; TDD-LTE B38/39/40/41

    3G: WCDMA 850/900/1700/1900/2100 MHz

    2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
You should, however, avoid importing one from any other region other than Canada. It might work, for the most part, but the potential to run into issues is there depending on your carrier/where you live:

Canada has evolved past CDMA, therefore there's no need for it up here.

Should be fine for At&T and T mobile. But you Sprint and Verizon users are out of luck.

The two major networks that ever had a huge CDMA network was Bell and TELUS! Both companies have since switched and migrated those customers to GSM with Cat6 LTE! CDMA was shut down a few years ago!

I think if the US ever decides to abandon the Imperial system (feet, inches and Fahr), Verizon and Sprint will still persist in using them!
