Hi, I bought a second hand Blackberry Keyone. I am afraid if the seller installed any spyware/virus/trojan to the firmware somehow. So instead of using the reset to factory feature in the settings, I would like to flash the default official rom if it's possible. I did flash other android mobile products before and pretty easy work. But when I search on this topic online, I don't find any articles about it. I am wondering if it's doable or not. Thanks a lot.
you cant flash a rom per say. You can find and use the autoloader for your model and start fresh with that

You can also use the Mobile Upgrade Tool on your PC. Put your phone in fastboot mode, plug it in, and run the tool.

Thanks for the reply. But all I found on the official network is for Blackberry PRIV instead of Keyone. For example, How to reload the BlackBerry smartphone powered by Android OS and https://www.blackberry.com/ca/en/sup...roid-os-reload.
Btw, I don't trust to download anythings from non-official sites.
Your choice. TCL made the tool, and it's legitimate, but they don't host it anymore.
I have Mobile Upgrade Q Version 5.1.8, do you happen to know if that is the latest version? Also can I use it to update my Key 2 because it doesn't update (current is ACQ160)
In the normal sense of the term, you can't change a BlackBerry ROM. It has a secure root of trust. So your fears about a malicious seller are unfounded. Unless you're a persona that a state actor wants to surveil. And that state actor tampered with your Keyone. In which case, why wouldn't you buy the most current, secure phone you can get?
