Not long had my Keyone and having tried the Stock Camera App out I'm finding the pics ok but not as good as I expected. I've noticed that the file sizes are only just over 3 Mb with settings on Fine and 4:3. I would have expected 5 or 6 Mb. Having just tried a different camera app FV5 I'm now getting 6 Mb files and the pic quality is now what I'd expect when zoomed in to 100%. Is this a known characteristic of the BB camera app?

Size doesn't always equate to quality. I can take a photo on a DSLR that is 50MB, doesn't mean it's going to be a great photo.

I agree that the file size doesn't necessarily equate to a good photo. My question is why do two identical shots have vastly different file sizes when two different camera apps are used with the same settings. Incidentally - smaller file size will make a difference when zoomed into 100% or beyond. The file size of the Keyone photos when set to 12.3 Mb ( 4:3 ) and fine should be much bigger then 3 Mb in bright conditions. I suspect that the Keyone software is compressing the files far more than necessary. Love the phone but just trying to work this photo anomaly out.
