The most important thing to know is your PRD number. Type *#837837# into the dialer.

There are about 60 variants of the KEYᵒⁿᵉ. You have the unlocked UK silver model (which has made its way to Australia as well).

That's interesting and the fact it's emigrated to Australia is amazing lol so I presume that the uk unlocked version should and I say should receive updates first or is that not the way it works now with bb ? Nice to meet you buddy

Despite being unlocked, Vodafone UK seems to have its finger in the pot with regards to approving when the updates get released. Sometimes there is a bit of a delay as a result.

    Welcome to crackberry.

The KEY² LE is the real replacement for the KEYᵒⁿᵉ (in terms of market positioning).

I have a question - I just received my replacement phone from TCL. It's the same PRD as my original Telus device. For fun, I checked the build date... but instead of a date code, it lists a bunch of asterisks instead. Does this mean it's a refurbished device? I'm fine with that if the screen stays attached, but I was just curious.

See my post above - I believe it's due to a refurbishment/replacement phone. I've had no problems with my factory replacement after suffering a screen fall-out on the previous device.

I have a black edition unlocked, mine isn't a replacement, but I also have asterisks at the builddate
