    Greetings,

Pre-purchase question: Does the KEYone Bronze Edition support WFC on T-Mobile in the US? If so, are there any caveats, e.g., does the BBB100-5 model work or does one need to find another? Etc.

Pretty sure the BBB100-5 is either China or Russia... do you want Google Services?

It doesn't match up well with T-Mobiles bands. https://www.frequencycheck.com/carri...-united-states

Many thanks. So is there any version of the Bronze Edition that works in the US and on T-Mobile? Is there anyone in the US using some version of the BE?

PS Assuming that the Chinese version even works here: What are the pros and cons of *not* having Google Services on an Android phone?

The primary con is choosing to send your data to a mainland communist nation vs corporate data miner. One sells your specific viewpoints to others while the other might kill you for those viewpoints.

Ok, so there is a BBB100-2 version out there. Will WFC work on this one?

Yes, but that's for the Key2!

(As mentioned in other threads, the K2 to this writer appears to be an orphan - missing part of its past - as well as a widow - missing part of its future: It has no WFC except through a complicated workaround that might not always work (no past), and it still has those ugly navigation buttons which may become superfluous in a future version of Android (no future). The K1 may not be updated for much longer but I'm interested in it as a not so expensive transitional device while waiting for a future paradigm of communication to develop. (Of course, there is no guarantee of when such a paradigm might arrive.))

At this point, it's best to get device and try it out yourself. If not fully compatible, then just return it.
