As all we know, nowdays Social Media marketing is very important, and BlackBerry Mobile is not doing anything to push it forward.

Facebook page have only 352 Likes
Twitter page have only 3400 followers


It's bad as a start.

Those followers on Twitter are probably mainly the Crackberry community which they won over from CBK and Co.

It's become alot more difficult for brands to grow organically on social networks, especially when these social properties are not really leading the announcements.

They probably should invest in some social media advertising, even Apple help does it, nothing wrong with running the vid of the KeyOne on Twitter for a few months. Especially on Twitter with their targeting capabilities and especially with event targeting.

The numbers are disappointing but given the recent start of the page they will seemingly go up. Hopefully at a quicker pace.

As long as BB has a proper web page (and they do), they don't need the redundancy of Facebook or Twitter.
