No need to jump the gun. It hasn't been released yet, so let's wait and see. In fact, the DTEK60 hasn't been relaxed yet either, so the Mercury is quite far off from being announced, released then unreleased then released. Lol.
To be honest I don't expect then to suddenly start thinking and not overprice it. As much as I love pkb I don't think I am willing to pay 700 for a blackberry which might drop the support at any point because they felt like it. Iphone costs 700+ because it's a great phone and a good company. Blackberry can't just sell their phones for 700 when they are trying to survive. Do you understand what I mean?

I agree. I have other non-phone Apple products and their customer service never fails to impress me. They have completely replaced product parts for me, helped me with devices that were out of warranty, and when I pay for device replacements after destroying them, they provide brand new replacements. I am willing to pay the premium for a company like that, but I really wouldn't for BlackBerry...

This is exactly why Chen is probably going to deepsix the mercury. They will sell low volume and therefore need to be priced higher which will only add to the price, further reducing potential sales. Chen knows this and the number crunching probably tells him the logical thing to do is forget the mercury unless dtek60 sells like crazy.

Sent from my BlackBerry Passport SE
I would gladly pay up to that price.
If it could do everything, my ceiling is $2K because think about it, a good qwerty phone is less a phone, more like a ultraportable laptop. I love my special edition Passport, but it needs a refresh.
Do you think it's worth waiting for? How much better will it be than the classic? I really hope they don't take away the tool belt and trackpad and call and end buttons, my favorite part. I really just want an android enabled classic with a slightly better camera...
I don't think I can shell out another 700 usd for a blackberry, I did it for the priv , I paid 649 usd and I felt it, you know you over paid for something when you go home and your wife asks for the reciept and you say it's a once off thing and you get ignored,
The specs in that list could be true , remember the resolution and chipset of the classic was horrible but it did a great job and held well on day to day tasks and was very pricey,
Personally the 625 is super powerful, I don't game etc so in fact that's more than what was needed , battery life will look to be in the 2 day region as well , plus stock nougat with blackberry sprinkles , you have to say it's a compelling product , but only for the most die hard of blackberry fans.. Like me .
I'm happy with my priv, but more battery and a new software out of the box ? It may be too hard for me to turn down.
Holy smokes people, the device hasn't even been announced or confirmed is coming at all and you're already complaining about the price that it "will" be according to CB psychics? Really? Do we just wake up every morning thinking "hm, what can I complain about today??"
