So, we still don't know the specs on the Mercury just yet. What do you think we'll find inside?

Im hoping they release one Flagship and one Mid range but idk. The new 835 chip would be nice but who knows, at this point I just want the phone before end of March.

Unfortunately there's been no indication I've read that suggests TCL is offering a flagship BlackBerry Android device right now; the DTEK60 is suitable until this fall. Yes, a flagship with the 835 would be a surprise this quarter, but let's be realistic. The 625 on a mid-ranged Mercury fits in the BlackBerry product line. Its PKB would be attractive to both consumers and the enterprise. I do hope the 835 will find its way in a future BlackBerry later this year.

Even if we avoided considering price a fundamental point (I don't think it should cost more than 400/450$), who actually needs so much horsepower in a qwerty phone? I personally need medium-range specs, everything going further is just needed for games, imho. And I like a lot the 625 being a battery-friendly CPU: I really hope for a right pricing, so that the Mercury will have a chance out there (thanks to TCT's carriers relation).

Well the concern of many people including myself is the future proofness since this might be the last pkb phone. I believe it is fair to want to use this phone as long as possible.

I believe it won't be the last one, since TCL just showed their commitment to physical keyboard. Ruling out pkb would be pointless for them, after acquiring rights on the BlackBerry mobile brand.

I'm happy with those specs because it should mean an affordable price point.

It's the release date that worries me. February would be wonderful but at the moment it looks like all we can expect is an announcement at the end of February, which is my huge disappointment.

I'm not sure what you mean by this, these have been the fundemental leaked/talked about specs all along for the Mercury. The more recent 821/4GB etc. are extremely unlikely so to me what conite posted is exactly what I'm expecting and I'm good with it.

I expect they will have product ready to go when they officially announce next month. Much like the DTEK50s and DTEK60s.

If that is the case no problem. Hope it turns out that way.

I guess you'll have to pick up one of the many other new pkb devices out there.

Yeah but the Passport cheated on the Classic when he met an iPhone 6.

I think the whatsapp cut off date was increased to allow time to release this - so to allow Blackberry OS 10 users a smooth transition. So expect the release to be before mid year.
