Hey so I've had my Keyone for a couple months now and it had great battery life with Snapchat only draining about 2-5%/day (light snapchat user).
For the past couple days now though Snapchat has been draining a lot more, up to 28% in a day or 9% in an hour. My usage has barely changed and it is by far taking up most of my battery usage.
Has anyone else experienced this or knows a fix other than deleting the app? I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. Thanks!

Maybe an updated caused it , and using face filters drain the battery faster than just using it without any filters

It is app related not hardware related problem. I just removed most of my social media apps : Facebook, Facebook messanger, Twitter etc and battery is so much better now. I am just using browser now to access those sites. Same thing less notifications.

Also see if you can make changes to frequency of updates etc.

Snapchat for Android is coded by monkeys. The company has their focus on the iOS app, they only do Android on the side and they don't care about any optimisations.

And with Casper out of the game, the best option would be to leave Snapchat and use other means of getting whatever it was you got out of it.

If nothing else seems to have changed (new apps or settings) then maybe it just got into a battery wasting loop.

You might try rebooting and checking afterward

From BB blog: How to reset PRIV by BlackBerry | Inside BlackBerry Help Blog

    Three restart/reboot methods

The first method, which should be used 99.9% of the time when you want to reboot your device, is using the Reboot option that appears after pressing the Power key.

Press and hold the Power key for 3 seconds
Select Reboot from the menu that is presented

The second reset method should be used if pressing the Power key does not produce the menu with Power Off and Restart. For example, if an app or game you are using won’t close, use this option to restart your device.

Press and hold the Power key for 12 seconds

Third method: Should your device fail to respond, the final reset method is to press and hold the Power key for 32 seconds which is equivalent to removing the battery. This should result in your device booting up successfully.

If it fails to start, however, verify you are not pressing any other keys such as Volume Up, Mute, or Volume Down while performing any of the reset methods listed above. If you use a case for your device you may want to remove it as it might be pressing a button inadvertently.

And just for an extra measure, if needed:

    Safe Mode:

The next step is placing your device into safe mode.

When used, Safe Mode will disable any third party apps or games you have installed. As a result of this, should your device not exhibit the issue while in Safe Mode it’s safe to assume the issue is specific to an app or game you have installed. Safe Mode may also remove apps and/or widgets from your various home screens when you go back to Normal.

Press and hold the power key
Tap and hold Power off (that is Press/Hold the Power Off prompt line) when it appears
When prompted, tap OK to reboot to Safe Mode

To get out of Safe Mode, press and hold the power key followed by tapping Reboot.

After testing, should your device not exhibit any issues, the next step is to remove recently installed applications one by one until the issue is resolved.

If that fails you might investigate reloading the OS using an Autoloader:

Did you try disabling background data for Snapchat?

Thanks for all the replies, but looking at it again it now says in the battery drain that "10110" is draining the battery and it just has a black android logo beside. This is my first time seeing this and I'm thinking it's just an android problem, but if anyone has any idea what this is that'd be great.

That generally means that you UNinstalled some app that did use the Battery. The battery report no longer knows the name of the app and responds with some reference number.

Anytime you see the random numbers like that, it means it's an app that you deleted

Thanks that makes sense as I deleted Snapchat, hopefully the battery drain sort itself out.
