hmm I had issues today with my hotspot. but thought it was my random mac adress generator on linux laptop. will test again tomorrow on another
I thought they fixed up this issue with Oreo.
It's easy to fix it up upon yourself (Nougat). Put this link into the google translator and follow the instructions.
