In BB's defense, they all do it.

The Galaxy S8 has 4GB RAM in most countries but in China and I believe in its homeland of S.Korea it has 6GB RAM.

The LG G6 is the biggest offender, in some countries it has 64GB internal memory plus Wireless Charging and a powerful 32bit audio DAC

In Europe the G6 has 32GB with none of that, and then in the USA it has 64GB, with Wireless Charging, no Audio DAC.

BB are following a popular trend.

Well BlackBerry even did this with own BlackBerry Priv having no wireless charge e.g. in STV100-4 EMEA models. And this is even a different company building it: TCL vs. Optiemus.

Wonder how the build quality differs (guess they knew of the screen soon enough). Interesting to see now how same design is manufactured by different companies with perhaps even with different parts.

Well the first batch has already been manufactured by TCL just to start the work in Optiemus .

If you want the extra Ram and dual sim support with Volte and the 64gb storage, well then you should return .It maybe available in the Amazon global store in the Amazon website (August 8th is the sale in India) ;that's what many of us do in India if something is not launched here .

This has been happening across every product for the last few years, some areas get a stripped down/ obsolete product to make it more affordable. The original Mk1 VW Golf was manufactured & sold in South Africa until a couple of years ago, as a economic alternative to the latest Mk6/7/8etc.

Now we're starting to see in some product lines the west demands the lower spec/ economic builds and the fast developing superpowers want the top end stuff....

That's globalisation/ evolution for ya!
