It is my understanding that the charger that ships with the KEYone is a QC 2.0 charger. Doing some research, I found that QC 3.0 is actually better for battery health because it minimises heat by stepping through infinite voltages versus the 4 steps in QC 2.0.
I'm no expert in this field, so any input would be appreciated. Since the KEYone doesn't have a removable battery, I want to keep it in the best health possible.
The QC 3 charger is backwards compatible and it more future-proof so get it for that reason alone but you won't get the improvements on a QC 2.0 phone.

Actually before saw this thread had ordered a good combo:
AUKEY USB 3 Type C cable ..its long. The one that came with device will keep as a spare.
AUKEY QC 3.0 Qualcomm certified
Quick Charge 3.0 is designed to be up to 38 percent more efficient than Quick Charge 2.0, while also implementing additional steps to help protect battery cycle life. Additionally, when used with Qualcomm Technologies’ latest, advanced parallel charging configurations, Quick Charge 3.0 can:
Help improve fast charging up to 27% or reduces power dissipation by up to 45% when compared to Quick Charge 2.0.

Since Conite recommended this product I searched this on Amazon. Unfortunately it is not shipped to my location, location being in the USA. This must only be available in Canada. Too bad.

I ordered EU version as located in Spain. check your local Amazon.
I use Aukey stuff all the time and have the QC3 car charger and the USB C cable. love it. can't complain at all. excellent products but more importantly inexpensive!!

I think you might be onto something. The 1st pic is my battery after using the factory 2.0 charger. The 2nd is using an Aukey 3.0
The charger itself doesn't do much be it QC 3 or 2. The internals of the phone that controls the charging voltage is for qc 2. Whether you use qc 3 or qc4 etc. won't matter. While your time frame of 3 hours are quite similar, the signal of phone, emails coming in, tasks you do in those 3 hours could vary!

The KEYone is QC3.0 compatible, so it can make full use of the QC3.0 technology. The PRIV was only QC2.0 compatible, so you could use a QC3.0 charger, but it would default to QC2.0 charging.
I left out a few more words that made my post less clear. My point was that using a qc 3 charger wont make any difference to battery discharge rates. I didn't know that the blackberry charger was a qc2.0 charger!

Hello think discharge rates is a long term effect that being hard to conclude with a new battery. In the meantime with QC3.0 I am getting a way faster charger and notice how charger is way less warm than 2.0 stock. using a AUKEY.
