Proud owner of a K1 for some days now.

But I'm missing a good music player app.
Good in the meaning of sound. I never use an EQ, because i like the authentic sound without any alienating.
Should play .mp3, aac, flac and lossless.

    Any suggestions?

    Cheers!

I'm currently playing my FLACs on Onkyo HF player which sounds amazing and also supports USB audio.

Blackplayer and others always seem to screw up my music files, like adding ringtones to my playlist. Neutron is the only one that doesn't.

You do know there's a setting under the advanced section to take care of all that, don't you? You can manually select the folders the app searches for music or it can automatically skip things like the ringtone folder or folders with a nomedia file in it and so on and so forth.

I've used several and for my FLAC and WMA files the two I prefer is Poweramp and Neutron. They seem the most versatile with the most features. I too prefer a neutral playback but there are times you may need a little equalization due to the K1's audio or if you're using an IEM or headphone that is flavored, and both have excellent quality equalizers.

If you're in to simplicity and SQ isn't a priority, there are more basic and less complex players available.

Both also support selectable file retrieval sources so you can keep your ringtone out of your player library. Both are also audiophile quality players and support most available lossless codecs and formats as well as both having 32/64 bit rendering engines and gapless playback. Neutron also has it's own DSP engine that bypasses the Android OS.

I generally don't use the K1 for music listening because while better quality than most phones I've tried, it still isn't near a dedicated DAP in SQ, black background nor lack of artifacts during playback. Nor does it drive high impedance headsets or IEM's very well, BUT where it does shine in audio is when you run it through a portable amp. Huuge improvement.

regardless of the player, you can get a lot of tuning with good Bluetooth headphones.

I have the JayBird X3 and it has an app that has tons of presets for audiophiles and you can create your own profiles for music.

My Bluetooth headphones sound waaay better than my wired Bose headphones because it doesn't depend on the DAQ.

I cannot tolerate on ear Phones so I use Azteca BTH010 in ear also sold as Scosche tuneSTREAM II HZ8 both of which I own. I find them to be exceptional weighing 1.4 Oz. I see no difference but Azeca comes with a nice zipper case. For those who face challenged, they also fit upside down under chin.

Hmmmm I will have to give this a try! Unfortunately I like using my noise cancelling Bose wired earphones when commuting on planes/trains. Yes they don't sound as good as non noise cancelling counterparts but the noise cancelling feature is just so nice!
