Like "Bolds of old", the attention to detail and presumably the durability will make me reluctant to use a case. So I'm going to hope for a BlackBerry branded smart pocket, as available for the DTEK50/60.

I'd love to see some sort of leather case for this phone. Not a flip cover or a sleeve either. An actual leather form fitted case.

The hard case with belt holster is what I like. I would be happy if Seidio makes the SURFACE combo like they did for the priv. It's a bit pricey for a case, but I think it provides the most protection and convenience in one package.

Hoping Seidio does a nice, simple red case like they did for the Passport. If I can't have my red phone, I can at least hope for a nice case, and I've always liked what Seidio has to offer.

Noreve are going to release their customary horizontal/vertical flip cases for Mercury; sadly, that's about as high-end as we are going to get, Piel Frama don't seem interested in BlackBerry devices these days. I have sent them email enquiring about this, no reply yet but I'll try and contact them again.

I hope they have a case with a grippy surface on it...I'm currently using an Incipio with my Priv because it's much easier to handle than the OEM model...I wonder if the Mercury will have the Blackberry logo on the front of the phone?

I have the BlackBerry leather clip holster for the Priv and its a struggle to get the phone into and out of. It's way too tight. I have had it since Nov 2015 and still not easier. Great style ,but I hope the clip/belt/swivel/leather case for the Mercury is not so tight . Re; the same style for the Classic---the swivel clip released"came off" and I lost the phone never to be found.( Even with contact name info ON the outside of phone and inside the case)

I'll be fine with an value priced collection of IMAK cases like I have with my Passport. Brown, Black, Blue.... I have about 5 different Passport cases.

Bad thing about the Priv was the curved screen and no good fitting tempered glass and the films will rub off. Stuck with a Sedio Surface and film protector. I got IMAK brown and black leather looking stiched cases for my Priv just sitting on the shelf.

A simple leather slide case like the classic and bold. Beautiful cases and enough room at the top to see the LED.

Glass protector only. There's a ZAGG Store in KOP Mall where they type in the Phone to their computer and the Screen Protector is cut on site by a machine and placed on the device. It's really cool. They had the DTEK50 and DTEK60 days after launch available. I'd go screen protector then NO CASE unless there's a case that replicates the grip described on the back.

I love the clip holster for naked devices and was hoping they'd make one for the K1... I just chatted with them and was told they won't be making anything for the K1...

Those interested need to chat with them and request it. If enough people do maybe they will change their anti K1 tune...

I will probably keep mine naked with a tempered glass screen protector like I do my Passport.
