I elected to have Best Buy email me when the KeyOne was available, I got an email yesterday at 10:05 am and by 11 am, it wasn't available AGAIN! I got another email at 3:05 am today and I just placed my order (11:40 am) and it "should" ship by 6/16. I AM SO EXCITED!! I MIGHT BE THE ONLY ONE IN ALASKA WITH A KEYONE! ;-)

it's been a unique strategy. make about 100 units available, at most, at a time and continue to pretend like there is overwhelming interest. wow, it is so bizarre. do they really think that this inability to meet the fake overwhelming demand will mask the bottom line numbers showing how few devices were actually sold? all they are doing is alienating the rare people, like me, who actually want their device.

Whatever is going on, I can guarantee you that it's not a strategy. I'm sure they wish they had enough phones in the channel to meet the demand!

He may be wrong, but friend of mine runs a Bbuy mobile location, we had a chat about the Keyone and displays. There was a re-stock being shipped this Friday, but 1 per store availability again for South FL. Though those units were already claimed online for delivery or store pickup. Thus I wouldn't hold my breath for a "sellout". If apple stocked 1 iPhone a week per store during a release - it would also be sold out...for a year.

Uh, I think you don't quite grasp how large the USA is and how many people live here. Even with very mild demand, a thousand phones is still very little when it comes to a nationwide company like Best Buy...

new marketing and sales technique: pee-ka-boo (or JIt - with time = received kan ban card after completely deplete the stock plus 2 hour coffee break, or make it 2 hour lunch break on chinese yellow bike ride - earn approx. 10 yen; resume task ;-).

best buy is completely sold out. before only the store pick up was closed and you could have ordered online for it to be shipped on the 16th. now it says sold out again

I got an email from Best Buy again this evening (at 10 pm) and I just clicked the link and it is still letting me add the KeyOne to my chart but it is not showing a delivery date anymore... Super glad I placed the order when I did.

They are taking orders but will not give a ship by, kind of like amazon saying june/july. I'm not playing the game anymore. When they are real and ready ill buy. Me thinks August is the real launch when Sprint would have them (and potential other carriers) in the US.
