On my Passport SE I would see 24-36 hours of battery. The KEYone is slightly better depending on the apps I have installed at any given moment.

I am browsing and email writing person. For example my z10 with one hour browsing almost losses 20% battery. And when I don't use it except calls ( max 2-3 calls) the battery from last night for example 10 pm maximum survives till today 5pm. This means I don't have to use it if I fly or drive.

Last time, I all lost my flight because of phone battery died directly in front of boarding pass control desk. I had to back to get a new printed boarding pass.

I had a black, red and silver Passport.

while the KEYone has some of the Silver Edition Passport's styling, it's battery is even better, by a lot.

my Passport would heat up, and though the battery life was good, it was nowhere near the KEYone's. the Z10, which I also had when it launched, is so much worse than the KEYone, it's not a fair comparison.

unless something is horribly wrong or maybe you're streaming video with your brightness up and volume up for an hour or something, you'll never have your battery lose 20% in an hour on your KEYone.

it also charges insanely fast. never had a phone before with this sort of battery life. believe the hype on this one.

In 2014 battery standard, passport had great battery life, but in 2017, we have better energy efficient CPU like snapdragon 625, 835 that handles battery even better. Keyone is much better than passport in battery life.

Z10 charges in short time, too. I bought passport black and silver editions before z10. But both of them had battery problems. They didn't last even half over the day with normal daily usage. I returned both of them and ordered z10. Why to pay 390 EUR if the battery is the same as z10, which costed at the same time 180 EUR in Germany.

I like passport because of wider screen. But, the battery disappointed me. I will probable one more try. But, I am excited with Keyone. I am not fan of Android. But, I think we need to give BlackBerry some more time to bring android to the same level to its own BlackBerry 10 OS.

There is a difference , KEYone would be at about 15% when Passport would be at zero.
This from a former owner of a passport .

Cool. Most users will be fine with passport battery life.

Coming from a Passport and then PRIV, I can honestly say that the KEYone has the best battery life by far.

The Passport was good, but no comparison based on device functionality. The PRIV was awful and required charging at least a couple of times a day.

15% on BlackBerry is a big difference. If it would be an iPhone, wouldn't mind.

I agree. I have both the OG and SE passport. K1 is far superior.

I also have both. From my personal experience the standby battery life is better on the Passport, but when actually using the phone the K1 is king. The best stat I've gotten so far is 24 hours of battery life with just over 8 hours of screen-on time. That's pretty damn impressive in my book.

Disclaimer: There might be some app or process that is draining my battery faster than usual while in standby mode, but I haven't found an obvious culprit yet. Anyway, it's not a big deal since the phone is made for usin'

    Passport from K1 user here...

i personally think it would be unfair to compare both since android apps on BB wasnt really native which caused it to eat up lots of battery

On paper sure, Passport has better battery life. i had experienced using Passport without any Android apps and it got me more than a day of use. With Android apps though, i would have to charge it after dinner.

The K1 however lasted a day with regular use including all android apps including Waze, whatsapp and viber.

So...take it how you wanna take it. i would compare both head to head but they both get decent Batt life

I had a Passport and now using the K1. Using the same way my passport would have about 11-15% juice by around 11pm (Phone would be on around 7am). K1 has about 50-60% juice at 11pm. K1 battery is better for me.

The KEYone kills the Passport when it comes to battery life especially if you are using Android apps on the Passport. The inefficiencies of the Android Runtime on BB10 are atrocious. I still haven't been able to kill the battery on my KEYone yet after using it for 3 weeks with an average SOT of 8 hours. Time now to watch a football game on my KEYone for the next 3 hours and I'm currently at 59% and I'm not worried about the battery! Go Stampeders!

** Update. 1 hour into watching the game streaming via WiFi the KEYone used 11% of battery so I now sit at 48%. Incredible

Coming from a passport, which is still a good device and battery is above average but the kEYone is on another level when it comes to battery efficiency and how fast it charges. Best battery life I ever had for a phone!

I would like to ask those who uses Passport and keyone.

The figures you have provided regarding battery life time for a single charge is with or without battery saving mode? If the question is not clear, here is another way. is your smartphones "Battery saving" mode on or off during a day?

No, I have never used battery saving mode on the KEYone. It is set to kick in at 15%, but I have never dropped to 15% so it has never kicked in.

There is no comparison between the Passport and the KEYone. Honestly, the KEYone lasts twice as long on a single charge.

I was quite shocked myself. I didn't expect an Android device to destroy a BB10 device in the battery life arena, but it does.
