I have just got hold of a Black Keyone with Dual sim compatibility. I am overall quite happy with the phone, as I really need to use more than one sim cards due to regular travelling.

What I have experienced so far is that my Priv and the current Keyone both are almost the same in terms of battery life. I hardly get one full day of juice. I have five email accounts synced with the hub but other than that no games or unnecessary apps. I read news and quora quite frequently though.

Not black version just OG but I can tell you this. Yesterday I got up at 4am, unplugged my Keyone. I'm a heavy phone call, text, browse and get 100+ emails a day from accounts. Plugged back in last night at 10:30pm with 48 percent battery left. Pure workhorse.

Yep, I'm a light user and I can go 3 days. I'm hoping the Black I have on route to me from India is the same.

I'd love to see a screenshot of your usage. I use mine similarly and don't get near the battery life you're claiming.

The only unusual thing I did with my phone was that I formatted it several times while setting up. I did that due to some confusion regarding transferring data from my Priv.

I have a feeling that the regular Keyone gives better battery life.

Battery life also depends on the strenth of the signal you're getting. A day's use in a metal building on the outskirts of town vs. sitting next to your Wi-Fi router is a huge difference.

I don't know if it's because of the router I have at home or the extender, but through testing I've found that WiFi is by far the biggest battery drainer when I leave the phone idle. Overnight it will drain 16-18% so I have to use flight mode or turn off WiFi. Even with a poor network signal I get far better standby battery life if I turn off WiFi. And I have good WiFi coverage all over my house (thanks to the extender).

I am curious if anyone else has tried out both the original and the black edition with extra RAM: any significant difference in battery life between them? Does extra RAM actually consume more battery?

If you use dual sim then you will use more battery. All dual sim phones are the same when making use of both slots

Something is up for sure. I get a 2% battery drop over a 7 hours period of me sleeping over night with the phone on wifi.

At 86% my device tells me I have 9 hrs left. That is with the battery saver and the battery optimization turned on for every application. I don't play games or watch videos.

My Lumia 950 would run for 4 1/2 days on a charge . I knew I wouldn't get that with the Keyone Black edition but I figured between 36 and 48 hours based on the published benchmarks.

Turn off the optimization, even though that seems counterproductive. Also, try sticking to here, and providing details. The more you spread your problem around, the more it looks like simply complaining, instead of focusing on a resolution. Screen shots of battery usage details would help immensely.

I think the black actually has a bit better battery than the silver. Totally anecdotal though and not wildly better.

Same issue and feels strange, to be honest. Haven't felt the awesomeness of the battery so far.
In fact, battery-wise, my battle-tested Q5 isn't that far away.

Wow, super power of your battery life, do your mail account support push or pooling?
