So I've had concerns with my battery life lowering in the last .. Two months?

Disabled power center app, also had thought my bt has caused a lot more battery drain than it should (felt this on my silver ko, black ko, and my priv, previously).

After the update from yesterday, I've been on my black ko almost nonstop today (22 pct of battery left) since about 645am and I've gotten over 7 hr sot (I'd call myself a heavy user) , very short period of location services turned on and no bt on.

Even w out trying w Bluetooth on or re enabling Power center app, I feel very confident this latest update from yesterday has helped my battery life. I hadn't seen 7 hr sot in months even when trying to use it straight through the day (vs letting some battery die from standby).

Very happy, we'll see how far this will go today. Originally I've had btwn 9 and 10 and at least 8 or 8.5 hrs when I'd have location services on the entire time.

Back to being impressed/wow'd by the ko battery

Thanks for the info. Without a change log it is really difficult to find out what things were changed or improved with each update. My battery life has been pretty good overall so I can't really compare.

I found this is new, at least not explicit in the past. Carrier Services from google, the intro is:
"Carrier Services enables the latest communication services from mobilise carriers, including battery-optimizations and support for enhanced features in the Android Messages app."
