It is generally know that leaving your phone connected to 100% battery charge is not good for battery life.

However, who can watch that charging process that closely. Almost all the time you are charging when asleep or away and the Keyone can be left on the charging state until you get your phone.

Is there a way to have smart charging that will only charge the battery to a 90% state.

Any ideas, or I am wrong here.

    Thanks

You're kinda wrong. Well, not wrong... just misguided by old myths. Any modern device is going to switch from a full on charge to a trickle charge when 100% percent is reached to reduce the impact of constantly charging. Those general thoughts are from long ago when battery tech was older, less evolved.

I thought that leaving Keyone charged at 100% with trickle charge was not good for battery life.

Most of the time not preventable.

    Thanks

I have a usb cable with an integrated timer. generally I only set it to charge overnight for 1 hour, and that keeps me in the 'sweet spot' between 30-80 everyday.

I also charge my phone over night and use a timer set for 3 hours. I use a smart plug and can setup different charge cycles via a app. Never liked the idea of charging anything all night.

What smart plug product do you use? Checking on Amazon I was not sure what is best for USB timer charging.

    Thanks

TP-Link smart WI-FI plug. Works with Amazon alexa and google assistant. Not sure if you were referring to my post so put this up in case.

was a non-food item sale at a foodplace. threw away the packaging, so can't say anymore which brand. It was micro-usb though, and I attached a converter to usb-c to it. If you google (or duckduckgo ) "usb charge cable with timer" I'll bet you will find similar products. it looks a little like this https://www.ecosavers.nl/?page_id=968
