It's way cheaper than iphone or samsung! Most consumers can't tell the difference between snapdragon 625 and 835. It's only $100 more than iphone SE 64gb.

It's a huge difference between 625/835 snapdragon, especially for the people, planning to load a lot of applications.
It is definitely going to be one more ''warm ''device like PRIV ....

Realistically, it was never really about 625 versus 835. With the longer development cycle, it would have been the 821 at best. The 625 is much cooler and battery efficient than the 821.

Samsung s7 edge is the fantastic device both on snapdragon and exynos,
The quality and the price is equal, in our case so far we have only high price and average specifications...

Specs do not necessarily equate to SoC.

S7 (and DTEK60) is higher in the SoC spec, but lower on the battery life spec. Take your pick.

Sounds like you've done the right things so far. After that, just be smart - use apps from Play Store, keep toggle off for allowing apps from unknown sources, keep your browser away from dubious websites, etc.

Samsung s7 edge was on sale directly from Samsung for $450 plus free 128gb micro SD card. There is no doubt that S7 is better than keyone but it's not fair to compare with keyone. S7 was released March 2016 and keyone is brand new phone from 2017.

Thanks... poor thing that we can't pool DTEK application to samsung!

I think samsung and blackberry fantastic merge, but....

Do people even buy flagships phones in Canada? They certainly would be priced higher. Is it all subsidized? If so, then the KEYone will be subsidized too, and it won't be $750 CAD in most people's minds.
Well, yes. I bought a Google Pixel and Google Pixel C from the Google store. So yes is the answer in Canada.

Samsung hardware and BlackBerry security + suites would be very nice but that will never happen.

I'd rather my battery not catch fire XD

Yes the slower cpu is disappointing but I'm never gonna notice the difference between say an S7 and a KEYOne--because I use a Classic now and will never use an S7 as it has no pkb. And the KEYOne's cpu is going to be a hell of an upgrade from the Classic.

    You are absolutely correct.

By claiming that this is a "Flagship device" and then saying that the KEYone is priced in the "Midrange" of the smartphone market, is well:

    Not very smart @ all.

    Same feeling this way, actually.
If with bundle acce'y, it would be a nice offer.

Played with the KEYONE for a bit at the Toronto CrackBerry event.. really looks and feels premium and I am looking forward to getting one.

Of course keyboard is not spacious like a Passport..but what is, other than a laptop lol...

This was my concern. I LOVE the PP keyboard... i think it is absolutely incredible, perfect size for banging out massive texts with zero error.

What did you think of the KeyONE in comparisson?

ALSO, any word on Candian price yet?

True . Yes people buy flagship in Canada haha. For a 750.00 phone might be something like 200 bucks and 25 per month on top of your plan
I suspect even higher, like maybe 299 on a 2 year plan. There's always promo's for Samsung and Apple, even LG devices, so BlackBerry will be a hard-sell at that price.

I used to be so fast with the 9900 keyboard. Then came the PP. I really enjoyed it. The Priv keyboard is not as comfortable for me to type on. it doesn't have the feel as the 9900 or the PP. I think the KEYone keyboard will be awesome.

The 625 is a perfect match for this device. Very good performance, monster battery saving.
Agree. "SD625 and the rest of specs" and $549 are not a perfect match. You could say Pixel and Pixel XL were also overpriced.
